Paver Sealing Warranty Information

WHAT OUR WARRANTY COVERS:

PURE Exterior Solutions offers a 3-year warranty on residential sealing applications using Ure-Seal H2o. This warranty covers defects in workmanship or material failures such as cracking, peeling, chipping, flaking, or yellowing. Repairs due to these defects will be made at no charge.

 

RESERVICE & REPAIRS:

Contracting PURE Exterior Solutions grants us the right to re-service, repair, or refund invoice amounts for all claims. Customer service is a priority, following employee safety. We reserve the right to correct any issues our customers may encounter.

 

 

WHAT OUR WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

 

Efflorescence:

Efflorescence is not covered by this warranty but may be covered by the stone manufacturer. Efflorescence is a natural process where a white haze appears on the brick surface due to lime or calcium oxide. This process does not affect brick integrity and will usually resolve with time and exposure to elements. Proper sealing can retard or stop efflorescence, but this warranty does not guarantee it.

 

Deterioration of Pavers:

Concrete pavers consist of paste and aggregate. Over time, traffic, UV exposure, weather conditions, and other factors can cause aggregate to show through the paver. PURE Exterior Solutions is not responsible for paver erosion, which is influenced by environmental factors beyond our control.

 

Ants & Insects:

Sealing pavers do not prevent ants or burrowing insects from tunneling through sand joints. We cannot warranty or guarantee that these issues will not occur on sealed surfaces. Customers are encouraged to use preferred insecticides or poisons to manage these issues without compromising the sealed paver system.

 

Weeds and Mold:

Sealing pavers do not stop weed or mold growth. We inform our customers extensively about this common issue. Growth issues can be managed using weed or mold control products, such as white vinegar or a 50/50 bleach solution, without damaging the sealer.

 

Stains:

Sealing quality and brick condition affect stain removal efficacy. We cannot guarantee 100% stain removal. Customers understand that our efforts to remove stains are compensated based on labor and materials used. While sealed surfaces are easier to clean, prolonged contaminant exposure can break down the sealer and stain the surface.

 

Joint Sand:

Environmental factors and abnormal conditions can cause joint sand loss. PURE Exterior Solutions is not responsible for joint sand erosion or settling. Customers should expect some sand loss over time. We offer sand touch-ups for a fee.

 

Pavers Turning White & Milky:

The urethane-based, breathable sealant we use prevents moisture entrapment. However, topical coat sealants used previously, or improper drainage may cause clouding. Proper drainage is necessary and not our responsibility.

 

Stripping Pavers:

Stripping jobs are not covered under our warranty. Customers pay for effort, labor, and materials used. We aim to remove 90% of the old sealant. The customer's responsibility includes understanding and accepting stripping results before a new sealer application. If the customer is dissatisfied with the stripping results at any time, and requests to stop the project before the new sealer is applied, they will be responsible for 75% of the total job cost. Once the sealer has been mixed or applied to the hardscape surface, the customer is responsible for 100% of the project cost.

 

Sheen, Shine & Depth of Color:

We do not guarantee high shine or color enhancement for pavers. Light-colored pavers will show minimal enhancement. Aesthetic benefits depend on individual paver characteristics and do not affect job quality or durability. Lighter-colored pavers (tans, ivory, whites, and some grays) will not have a drastic color enhancement or shine. Thats just the nature of the pavers. Those light colors will only darken and shine so much.

 

Slipperiness:

Sealed surfaces can become slippery. We offer Shark Grip for non-slip properties, but it can wear off. Reapplication requires cleaning and resealing.

 

Pool Cleaning:

Pool decks may require additional cleaning after our services. Customers should clean filters daily until debris is gone and allow pool systems to function normally. Run your pool vacuum as you normally would. If you have a pool company to maintain your pool, schedule your pool company services no sooner than 24 hours after job completion.

 

Tire Marks:

We cannot guarantee against tire marks on sealed surfaces. Plasticizer in tires may transfer to sealed pavers. Avoid hard turns and tire pivoting on newly sealed surfaces for 10 days.

 

Plant Life:

Our cleaning solutions may affect surrounding plants. Water affected areas vigorously for 10 days to help plants recover. Inform our office about any issues.

 

Pool Cage Cleaning & Exterior House Washing:

Chemical applications during pool cage cleaning target plant life but may not remove oxidation or scuff marks. Damage to screens due to natural erosion is not our responsibility. Exterior house washing does not include window cleaning. We can recommend window cleaning services if needed.

 

WHAT WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY:

         Customer neglect (pressure washing, applying own sealant, using chemicals, scrubbing, or abrasives)

         Allowing another contractor to work on the paver surface after us (we do not guarantee someone else’s work)

         Failure to pay upon job completion

         Issuing a bad check

         Being rude or verbally abusive to our staff

         Leaving a negative online review will void your warranty and any future business with us. We are committed to ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining our excellent reputation. We strive to keep every customer 100% satisfied. Negative online comments harm our business, and we will not continue to work with customers who post them.

 

HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR WARRANTY:

PURE Exterior Solutions requires annual maintenance to maintain your warranty. Our maintenance program is very simple, there are 2 options Standard & Premium.

Standard - (scheduled 13 months after the initial seal and every year after for a total of 2 visits) includes a high-pressure cleaning, application of our commercial grade weed and mold deterrent, and visual inspection of the entire sealed surfaces.  The surface can be opened to foot and vehicle traffic immediately after we finish the standard maintenance.

 

Premium - (scheduled 13 months after the initial seal and 2 years after for a total of 2 visits) includes a high-pressure cleaning, application of our commercial grade weed and mold deterrent, touch ups of washed-out sand in the joints, 1 coat of sealant applied to lock in the joints and provide another thick coat and layer of protection to the originally sealed surface, and visual inspection of the entire sealed surfaces.  The surface can be opened to foot and vehicle traffic 12 hrs after we finish the premium maintenance.

 

Pricing:  The pricing for our maintenance packages is as followed

Standard cost is 25% of the initial price.  Premium cost is 50% of the initial price.

 

A maintenance program must be selected between 10-13 months after the initial project date to provide us with a “standard” or “premium” maintenance plan.

 

Projects that exceed 13 months post-completion may not qualify for the maintenance option and may result in warranty disqualification. DO NOT PRESSURE WASH YOUR PAVERS! Pressure cleaning will damage the sealer finish, cause premature sand loss, and lead to paver failure. Pressure washing your pavers will void your warranty.
